Lasting memories, reinvented.

Built in 1882, FREIGHT began its life as a train depot. A true gem of the mountain west, this historic place provides cathedral-like ceilings and historic wood floors that hold the history of those who came before. This is no stuffy museum though; FREIGHT was awarded Colorado’s Edge Award which acknowledges the creative ways they are telling the stories of the West and Leadville. If you want to be welcomed with sincerity and integrity, the team at FREIGHT are the folx to work with. Mountain backdrops, authentic Colorado mountain town, beverage burrows, boutique onsite cabins, and a bandstand; a Colorado wedding is guaranteed here.

Love Notes
FREIGHT is the most incredibly beautiful space, and the FREIGHT family is absolutely the best! We hosted our wedding at FREIGHT back in July, and rented out the cabins for our wedding party. The venue itself - authentic rustic feel, but with modern high quality and a stunning view out over Turquoise Lake and the mountains beyond - is truly something special, and is unmatched in Colorado. We initially fell in love with the physical space (and the cabins!), but soon came to realize that the team working at FREIGHT makes this place even more uniquely amazing. It was a pleasure to get to know the wonderful individuals at FREIGHT who went out of their way to make our wedding experience special. The FREIGHT crew worked with us to fully realize our vision for organizing and decorating the space, and it was even more magical than I had imagined! All of the details, from the hanging string lights to the custom bar package, were tailored to fit our specific requests. Given that our wedding was during Covid-times, FREIGHT was also extremely flexible and accommodating, and the team ensured that we were able to host an event at which we (and our guests) felt comfortable and safe. Finally, we are totally in love with the cabins - and our wedding party guests were as well! I cannot recommend FREIGHT highly enough for weddings/private events - and also for a weekend getaway or any of the fun public events (Harry Potter trivia, pumpkin festival, open mic night) that FREIGHT regularly hosts!
