Marlene did a wonderful job helping us in the weeks leading up to the event and made us feel very well taken care of on the day.
The venue is stunning and the facilities are very modern and well-designed. The ceremony space in the forest feels intimately tucked away, but there is lots of space for guests to roam around and explore during cocktail hour and a reception. We received SO many compliments on the food - some guests saying it was the best they’d ever had at a wedding.

“We hosted our wedding at the Cheakamus Centre in late September... and WOW. It was truly the perfect day! The venue itself is draw-droppingly gorgeous and provides seamless separate locations for the ceremony, cocktail, and reception/dancing. Getting married under the forest canape was a dream come true, providing a magical and intimate setting.
Our guests are still talking about how great the food was! We were a bit nervous about doing a buffet but it ended up being a HUGE success. There was plenty of food to go around, the food was hot, and there were lots of options for people to chose - but most importantly, everything was DELICIOUS!
The Cheakamus Centre staff were incredibly kind and attentive to our guests - and us! They ensured everyone had what they needed throughout the day/night and were flexible in meeting our requests.

“We first visited Cheakamus Centre in June 2023 and were greeted by two deer as we walked onto the property—a truly magical moment. Cheakamus Centre is nestled beneath a stunning forest canopy, and the Ceremony space feels as if the trees themselves are embracing you and your guests. Our candle-lit dinner in the Environmental Learning Centre was surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest framed in every window, creating a seamless connection to the outdoors. The meals, led by Chef Simona with ingredients sourced on-site and through local vendors, were exceptional and received rave reviews from our guests.
From the very beginning, we were in contact with Emily, their Event Sales Manager. To say we are grateful to have had her on our wedding journey would be an understatement. She is one of the sweetest, most genuine people you could ever meet, and she answered every question and addressed every detail with the utmost care. We also had the pleasure of working with Marlene, the Events Manager, who helped us finalize our plans for the big day. Together, Emily and Marlene were responsive, knowledgeable, and, above all, kind. Marlene’s warmth came through in every email and was even more evident on our wedding day, where she greeted us joyfully during the most important moments and in-betweens.
We would also like to mention Jason, the Operations Manager, Marcus, the Maintenance Manager, and the entire kitchen, serving, and support staff who made everything possible.
