Sunwolf Riverside Resort

There’s a moment when you turn off the highway and the road cuts through tall, dark evergreen trees. Ahead, the rainforest frames a snowy mountain peak. Maybe an eagle soars overhead or a deer calmly grazes beside the road. This is when you know you’ve escaped and you’re on your way to Sunwolf Riverside Resort. Located halfway between Vancouver and Whistler in beautiful Squamish, BC, Sunwolf gives you and your guests an immersive wedding experience in a remote forest setting without leaving the luxuries and comfort of home behind. With two ceremony sites to choose from, a riverside or forest backdrop, Sunwolf can accommodate up to 175 people for your wedding ceremony and reception. With 11 elegantly rustic yet cozy cabins along the river’s edge at the confluence of the Cheakamus and Cheekye Rivers, a modern post and beam Cheekye lodge and a wedding couple’s cabin (the unique Logger’s Shack), Sunwolf can accommodate up to 70 of your guests on site for a 3 day/2 night wedding celebration. Our on-site, world renowned restaurant, Fergie’s, will cover all of your catering needs from your rehearsal BBQ to a good bye brunch promising to offer not just the best wedding food but the best meal your guests will ever experience. At Sunwolf, your wedding is a multi-day getaway, more than just a one night party. You and your guests have the opportunity to spend meaningful time together playing games on the lush green lawn and telling stories by the campfire under fairy lights. A wedding is all about connection and joining families-what better way to connect than by bringing your family and friends together at a private venue for a celebration that is sure to be remembered for years to come.

Love Notes
A huge thank you to the whole Sunwolf team for everything you all did to make our day go so smoothly. We got so many compliments from our guests on the magical venue and the fantastic food— please pass along our compliments to the chef!

The space is fantastic! It’s magical to be able to use the full venue for the event. We really appreciated having the tent for our rehearsal event the night before too -thank you! The cabins are very comfortable and absolutely darling. Our guests loved staying on site and so many people commented on how it was the most fun and relaxing wedding they’ve been to. The lawn games (Jenga and corn hole) were fun additions and our guests enjoyed it over the span of the weekend. The lodge was the perfect space for the bridal party to get ready and we really appreciated having it until the next day. I also love how it is dog friendly! That was a big reason for booking this venue so thank you for allowing our furry friends. It was an absolute dream to have our wedding at Sunwolf! Thank you for the wonderful time.
— Selene & Husein
Every single person we interacted with was fantastic, the entire Sunwolf team/staff was amazing, easy and wonderful to deal with. We have no negative feedback! Sunwolf exceeded our expectations for our wedding day and all of our guests commented on what a beautiful setting and day it was.

We really loved the grounds, fire pit, the lodge, the cabins. Everything was so serene and peaceful with the sound of the river flowing. The entire staff was very friendly and lovely as well.

Fun facts

What is your favorite part about a wedding?

Every wedding brings so much excitement and joy - from the first night when the guests arrive and seeing family and friends they haven't seen in a long time. The look on the couple's faces as their loved ones arrive. How they gather the night before to celebrate being together. The ceremony and how each one is so unique to them. Really, we love every part of a wedding!
