Rist Canyon Inn

Weddings & Celebrations

Rist Canyon Inn is an 1896 farmhouse located on a twenty-acre property rich in historic details. Rustic foot bridges, a cobblestone building, and quartz fireplace convey the history of the land. The sun drenched farmhouse has a wood-burning fireplace and full kitchen to enjoy during overnight stays. The bride and groom’s quarters are especially beautiful. The land rests among old growth trees, lush pastures, and a glistening creek in Pleasant Valley, where natural beauty is abundant. Old Town Fort Collins is minutes away. A generous grass courtyard with grand mountain views comprises the idyllic, tranquil backdrop worthy of a wedding ceremony. And the new Bellvue Hall accommodates 100 Guests with custom lighting and large windows overlooking two verdant courtyards. Welcome!

Love Notes

“The most amazing wedding venue! We got married in October at Rist Canyon Inn. It’s the perfect backdrop for pictures where ever you’re standing at the venue; so still and serene. Originally, this wasn’t the venue we had chosen, but due to the wildfires, we had to change everything around in a weeks notice and everything fell into place so perfectly here; it was meant to be and the wedding venue of my dreams. Allan and Emily were so accommodating and great to work with. They made the transition so smooth. I can’t recommend this venue enough.”

“I cannot say enough nice things about the owners of this venue – Allan and Emily. From day one they were so incredibly helpful and responsive. They are just overall amazing people who happen to own/run the most beautiful venue. This place was exactly what I dreamed of when I thought of getting married. The pasture where you get married is lovely. The farmhouse has so much charm. The reception area is amazing. The way Allan set up the lighting is so cool. I wouldn’t change a thing about this venue and so appreciated how wonderful Allan and Emily were through out the process.”

– Dana

“There are not enough words to describe Rist Canyon Inn and how special this property is. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. The owners, Allan and Emily, have gone above and beyond in making this place the most beautiful venue in Colorado. We loved everything about this venue – getting ready in the farmhouse, the groom’s cabin, the beautiful outdoor ceremony area, and the reception hall. The location is breathtaking, secluded, and so romantic with views of the mountains. Rist Canyon Inn was absolutely amazing not only on the day of, but throughout the entire planning process. Allan and Emily answered all of our questions and made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. We will be forever thankful for all of the memories we have here!”

Fun facts

What do you consider your style to be?

Rustic and Refined

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

Not long ago, we lived in this classic 1896 farmhouse on twenty scenic acres of land. While living here, we began to feel that the history and picturesque natural beauty of the place we live would be better shared. We happened upon a wedding venue and a lightbulb went on!

Where do you find your design inspiration?

My background is interior and lighting design, working with high level architects out of NY, LA and Seattle, on mostly 4 and 5 star hotels. Once my wife and I decided to turn our historic home on 20 acres into a wedding facility I got to work. The natural beauty of a place is what inspires me. This has been a passion of mine for the past 10 years and counting.

What is your favorite part about a wedding?

Our favorite part about a wedding is getting to know the families, especially the bride and groom. You become very close to the family during the planning process, especially during the day of the wedding.
