Vancouver “I Dos” with Sculptural Green Blooms

“Paul and Victor’s wedding was a seamless blend of modern elegance, organic textures, and intimate celebration, set against the stunning backdrop of Vancouver’s Polygon Art Gallery. From the moment guests arrived, the couple’s vision of an elevated yet deeply personal day came to life—champagne flutes and Aperol Spritzes in hand, they entered a sunlit ceremony space, perfectly nestled on the patio of the Seaspan Pavilion. The grooms exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. Immediately following, a celebratory toast set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Guests took their seats at a long, beautifully styled dinner table, adorned with jewel-toned accents and lush hanging greenery that created an intimate, warm ambiance. Edge Catering brought Paul and Victor’s Italian-Colombian heritage to the forefront, crafting a menu that was as intentional as the rest of the day. Florals played a transformative role in the design. The vision was modern yet organic—white and green blooms, including dahlias, anthuriums, phalaenopsis orchids, and green hydrangeas, combined with natural moss to create a fresh yet sophisticated aesthetic. Floating floral installations became a breathtaking centrepiece, softening the architectural space and bringing a sense of nature indoors. These suspended arrangements, carefully designed to draw the eye through the space, elevated the gallery into an intimate, artful setting. As dinner came to a close, Paul, Victor, and their families shared toasts before transitioning into the next phase of the celebration. The planning team seamlessly flipped the space, unveiling a transformed atmosphere filled with moody uplighting, soft lounge seating, and an irresistible dance floor. The first dance marked the official start of the afterparty—where love, laughter, and music carried the celebration into the night. Paul and Victor’s wedding was a masterful balance of refined design and heartfelt connection, a true reflection of their love story and shared vision. From the intimate ceremony to the vibrant party, every detail was thoughtfully curated to honour their journey and create an experience that left guests saying, ‘This was so them.'”
