“The couple lived out of state and had not seen the venue in person when they booked. They chose Denver with the hopes that it would be their permanent residence when their wedding date arrived. The couple wanted to host a big late night dance party, so SKYLIGHT was the perfect fit with our 24 hour rentals. They wanted a retro palette of warm peachy, orange, and mustard tones with a touch of boho, and disco balls were a must! Project Floral created a fun and funky floral installation of disco balls, strung flowers, greenery, and fringe chandeliers supplied by The Borrowing Bride. A checkered dance floor was a priority for the couple, so our planner Erin suggested a custom colorful checkered dance floor. Our planning team installed custom printed vinyl tiles that matched the color palette. The couple wanted a quick ceremony, followed by a cocktail style reception. Catering by Design had a constant flow of passed apps throughout the evening so that guests had the freedom to dance, relax on the lounges, or mingle in our back courtyard. Diamond Empire Band started the dance party playing all the classics. The ‘after party’ started when the DJ took over and had the party going until 1:30am. I loved that they put 100% faith in me to design and execute their vision. They had a signature ‘Nini Martini’ named after their cat. This design was also carried into their custom matchbook guest favors.”
