Peter pursued her persistently, but she kept turning him down, even though she had a huge crush on him and believed she had been in love with him since they first met more than two years earlier. She still remembers exactly what he was wearing that day. Their first date was attending a George Floyd protest in Denver. She asked to park her car at his house, but the evening turned into a weekend spent together. From that moment, their relationship flourished. Now, they love hiking and dancing together, cherishing slow weekends with their son and simply enjoying each other’s company. Above all, they are best friends.
