Lauren + Babak
Lauren and Babak were married under smoky skies at a vineyard in Kelowna, British Columbia this past summer. The couple exchanged personal vows privately before the ceremony in an intimate and emotional first look. Their wedding was a fusion of Persian and Canadian cultures as evidenced by their mixed ceremony style, featuring both traditional Iranian elements as well as classic Canadian components. Lauren surprised the groom’s family by reciting her vows in Farsi, a testament to her appreciation of Persian culture. The couple exchanged rings and honey to finalize the nuptials and bottles of champagne were sabered to commence the cocktail hour. With COVID restrictions and active forest fires in the surrounding areas, there were only 48 guests in attendance at this intimate wedding. However, there was no shortage of dancing, laughter and enjoyment into the night.
