“Jonathan and Kylee met how every (Los Angeles) couple meets – a dating app! After a series of terrible dates, Jonathan was Kylee’s last date before she gave up on app dating. Jonathan and Kylee hit it off from the start, laughing over Jonathan’s tropical cocktail choice and connecting over their shared love of animals. They happened to meet right before the holidays, so Kylee headed home to Montana for Christmas, and in the new year Jonathan had a big trip to Japan, so they didn’t see each other for a month. But they kept in contact during that time, and when Jonathan returned, they both knew they had found their person. And the rest is, as they say, history! Jonathan originally planned an elaborate proposal that included Kylee’s family flying in from Montana in April of 2020. However, COVID hit and Jonathan’s plans were quickly cancelled. In June, Jonathan planned a romantic getaway weekend to Santa Barbara. As they walked along the beach one morning, Kylee for sure thought this was the moment that he would propose. But, in fact, he actually wanted drone photos, so there was no proposal. However, the next night, Jonathan took Kylee to a romantic dinner after exploring the bucolic grounds of San Ysidro Ranch. He proposed to Kylee in the garden at sunset overlooking the ocean. It wasn’t what was originally planned, but it was perfect! For Kylee and Jon’s wedding vision, they wanted a beautiful, meaningful micro wedding of less than 20 people in the mountains of Montana. They made plans to get married in Glacier National Park with a dinner celebration afterwards at a picturesque lake. They soon realized they wanted help with creating a personal style, a romantic ambiance, and detailed management of the dinner event so they could sit back, relax, and soak up every moment with family. We wanted to design a simple, earthy elegance to capture the essence of Montana yet allowing room for style and flair. We combined natural colors of walnut and black with romantic pops of mauve, coral, and blush. We used a blend of rich velvet textures, wood elements, and refined details to pull together a cozy and romantic setting. Similar to their engagement story and many others, there are times when original plans don’t work out, but in the end, it’s all the better! When a different venue was needed, Clydesdale Outpost, a new venue in the area, opened their arms to Kylee and Jonathan to host their intimate soiree. Horses, scenery, and sunsets capped off the enchantment of their blissful day.”
