Utah Engagement Session
The Couple
Kyle + Ayesha
The Engagements
“Kyle and Ayesha fell in love in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, so when we were planning their engagement session, it was a no-brainer that the mountains be a part of it. We ventured into Big Cottonwood Canyon at sunrise, where Kyle had proposed to Ayesha in the spring, and they took in a quiet, crisp mountain morning just the two of them. We had the area to ourselves for most of the morning, except for a surprise visit from a moose who came in to take a morning drink from the stream. It was a scene straight out of a Utah storybook. Central to Ayesha and Kyle’s love story has been the bridging of their cultures into what will be their own and it was important to them that we incorporate that into their session. The couple honored Ayesha’s Indian tradition with their first outfits while also featuring the fun-loving and easygoing essence of their relationship at the end of the session. It was truly a dream of a morning which is no surprise with a sweet love such as theirs is at the heart of it all.”
The Proposal
“Kyle and I met four years ago during the fall. On one of our first dates, we hiked up above Silver Lake and had our first kiss among the beautiful autumn trees and the first snow of the season. Four years later, we went skiing up in Big Cottonwood Canyon and Kyle proposed to me in this same spot. We then celebrated with our friends at a surprise tailgate. I’m not sure I will ever be able to top that unforgettable ski day!”
