“We met how many modern couples do, we matched on Hinge! On our first date during the classic get to know you questions we found out we both had April birthdays. Tyler cleverly joked that if we had the same birthday, he would propose right there. To both of our surprise, as we counted down to say our day, we both blurted out ‘nine!’ While he didn’t propose right then, it was the first of many things we found we had in common that continued throughout our relationship. It was kind of crazy how quickly we fell in love and began talking about how excited we were to build a future together. It was never scary, or something we felt hesitation towards. It honestly felt like coming home. But, that’s how we both knew this was something different and rare. It truly feels like we were made for each other and we both feel so blessed to share life with our soulmate and best friend! Tyler proposed on November 15th, 2024 at Bryant Lake Beach in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. I thought we were just taking fall photos together but he had other plans. In the middle of photos, we turned back to back and when we were told to turn around, I saw him down on one knee. I was shocked because although I knew it was coming, I didn’t think the ring was ready yet! It was so overwhelming and exciting to know we were starting out forever together. After the proposal, Tyler had set up our families to surprise us back at our house. It was truly the perfect day! Our wedding was truly something that felt like it was out of a fairytale. We had dreamed of the perfect setting to say ‘I do’ with our family and friends and knew that Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club had to be the place. In fact, in March 2024, Tyler and I had gone to dinner at the club and (unknowingly at the time) snapped a photo in the exact spot where we would say ‘I do’ a year later. The entire day was seamless. Our ceremony and reception space was the most breathtaking backdrop—we’ll never get over it. We had the most incredible weather, food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the dance floor was packed the whole night! It was beyond what we could have hoped for! The biggest thing I can say, especially as a bride that was planning from out of state, is find your people! The team at Superstition and all our lovely vendors truly made this thing happen! They gave me such peace of mind and confidence that they understood my vision and in the end it turned out perfectly. I was able to relax and enjoy the wedding day instead of coordinating and feeling like to needed to keep managing the details.”
