“My wife, Jen, and I met back in college. It was truly a love at first sight moment… But it wasn’t that easy. This was back in 2010 and same-sex couples and being out wasn’t what we would say easy. We dated on and off for what was 13 years in secret not telling a single soul, but maybe one friend. Not even our families. Life continued to move forward and we finally realized that we couldn’t continue to hide. Jen proposed to me on her mother‘s birthday who passed away before we could come out and we got married shortly after. Being out and showing our love and happiness without fear has been the greatest gift in the world. We got married August 13, 2023 (we picked the 13th because it had been 13 years we had been dating), and are in the process of starting a family together!”
