Love Notes
NOTHING COMPARES! From the moment you arrive, to the minute you leave, Woodlands is breathtaking in so many ways. I can't picture saying "I do" with any other backdrop than the mountains, pines trees, and the bright blue Colorado sky at Woodlands! ...Not to mention the jaw dropping barn doors! Stephen and Janelle take great pride in the masterpiece they have created and it is SO noticeable. They were so easy to work with and are willing to bend over backwards to make each couple have the exact day of their dreams. Always making upgrades, we can't wait to continue to follow Woodlands as they are just starting what is going to be an unbelievable journey

I cannot say enough good things to recommend Woodlands!!! It is the perfect setting - just 30 minutes outside of Denver, secluded and surrounded by beautiful trees and scenery! As a bride, planning and hosting a wedding during COVID times was incredibly stressful, but Janelle and Stephen (venue owners) could not have been more patient and helpful throughout the process. Their thorough communication was always prompt and much appreciated during such unknown times. During the wedding planning process, we had multiple issues with our caterer and scheduling. Janelle and Stephen went out of their way to help us solve the issues, and they went above and beyond to make sure that our day went off without a hitch! I would absolutely recommend this venue to any couple in a heartbeat!!

Woodlands made our wedding day a dream come true. The venue itself is perfect in every way - from the way that it's tucked down into a valley while also being very accessible to Denver, to the clean and crisp aesthetic, to the perfectly designed and tailored bridal suites, to the layout of the ceremony site and patio, the venue itself could not be more beautiful. To top it all off, Stephen and Janelle feel like a part of your family during the planning process. They were SO easy to communicate with, wildly accommodating, super on top of making sure everything was ready and as we had intended for our wedding day, and overall just a gift to work with. I would recommend Woodlands to anyone and everyone wanting to get married in Colorado.

Fun facts

What do you consider your style to be?

Modern Rustic

What are your favorite kinds of couples to work with?

Couples that have a fun spirit about their wedding day. They are excited to married each other (of course) but put their own unique style into the day. We try to provide a blank canvas and lots of options for our couples so they can have a fun, relaxed, wedding day that truly fits them. We love seeing everything couples put together and their creative ideas!

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

By trade, Janelle is a physical therapist and Stephen is a mining engineer. We have always had a strong passion for home renovation, design, projects, and landscaping. Stephen was traveling out of he country very frequently for work and when we had our first baby we knew we wanted to make a change in our lives. We bought an old run down junk yard/campground with the purpose of cleaning up the property to make it beautiful again and building a venue in order to share this beautiful landscape with others.

Where do you find your design inspiration?

All over! Maybe it's in something pretty in a store while on vacation, or the hardware store, or a beautiful shoot in a magazine, we think inspiration can be everywhere.
