Mariah is a librarian and Jon is a software engineer. They met in high school but were so awkward and nervous around each other that Mariah bought conversation starter cards for their first date. They thankfully grew out of that and just recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary, and tied the knot on July 23, 2022. Along with long walks in the forest, they love everything vintage which made them want to include Mariah’s Dad’s classic cars in both their engagement and wedding photos. Mariah carefully stitched her own wedding gloves with pieces from her mom’s wedding dress to make them her own. Jon loves writing and making music in his spare time while Mariah has an obsession with thrifting. Even though they’ve been building a life together for the last 10 years now, they are excited to finally be Mr. and Mrs. Heggen.
