“Roo at castlehouse videography is simply amazing. A true professional with the biggest smile. Our elopement at Loveland pass, Colorado was enhanced by his presence. From the first email to the delivery of our video he made the process a pleasure. We are thrilled with our finished product! He answered questions and gave suggestions like a champ and guided us the whole way. Upon meeting in person the day of our wedding he greeted me with a hug. I thought that was awesome! Roo never felt like “the videographer ” he felt like a friend.

“There are scores of videographers out there and after a lot of research and video calls, we are so lucky to have found Roo and absolutely delighted to have decided to go with him. His advice, quality of photos + video, personality and professionalism is amazing. My wife and I eloped in Colorado along with our friends/family and he captured the most amazing shots. Highly recommend Roo!”

“Roo at Castlehouse was AWESOME to work with! He was very professional in setting up meetings ahead of our elopement to make sure that he knew who we were (type of people) as well as our story. It felt like he really heard what we said and wove that into our video. On the wedding day, he fit in well with our group, and was fun and easy to work with. By the end of the day, he was pretty much full entertainer of the kids (while still focusing on the ceremony and filming)! I would recommend Roo to anyone looking to create a lasting video memory of their special day.”

What do you consider your style to be?
Here at Castlehouse we pride on creating cinematic, smooth and beautiful films in the most austere of environments. Hiking, off-roading, backpacking, and rock climbing elopements are gritty in nature but it doesn't mean your video has to be. With sweeping, goosebump worthy visuals and a focus on the emotions of the day we pride ourselves in creating an elopement film that shows the best of you and your adventure.
What are your favorite kinds of couples to work with?
We always love seeing people celebrate in a way that's true to who they are and their relationship. If you're into rock climbing, skiing, hiking or simply wanting to choose adventure on we are there to help facilitate an awesome adventure elopement experience for you. You don't have to be a professional athlete to elope with Castlehouse Videography but having a willingness and excitement to celebrate your love with a bit of an adventure is what we're all about!
Do you travel for clients? If so, where?
Absolutely, we looove to travel! Although we are based in Boulder, Colorado we find ourselves in Washington, Wyoming, Utah and abroad quite often for elopements. Roo, the lead videographer, is a fluent Spanish speaker so finds himself in Latin America a few times a year for work.
What are your favorite activities to do in The Rockies?
With a world-class mountain range, we find ourselves adventuring in all different ways depending on the season. In the fall, Roo focuses on trail running and rock climbing to explore the beautiful colors of the aspen trees. In the winter, you can't miss a classic snowboarding or backcountry skiing adventure. We've even filmed snowmobiling and snowboarding elopements! In the spring and summer it's all about hiking, backpacking, river surfing and getting up many of Colorado's 14ers. Roo is a wilderness first responder, avalanche level 1 certified, leave no trace certified, swift water rescue certified and always looking for ways to be safe guiding others into the mountains!
