Love Notes

“THE BEST!! We contacted Renske so last minute looking for a photographer for our wedding and we are so lucky she was available. Our pictures are the most beautiful pictures we have ever seen. She is professional and fun and made us feel so comfortable! We can not recommend her enough. Thank you Renske for capturing our day in the most perfect way and not missing a single moment!!! “

“Ren is the most amazing photographer! I have no idea how she does it! She caught so many beautiful moments during my wedding. I will forever cherish these photos for the rest of my life. We had Ren do our engagement photos. My husband and I both felt extremely awkward walking in but Ren helped us open up and feel comfortable in our own skin. She allowed our dog to be there to be part of the day. We knew we would be hiring her again for our wedding photos. Ren again was able to make us feel so comfortable during our wedding. She captured every single moment. She had great ideas and worked with our ideas for exactly what we wanted. Her positioning ideas are phenomenal as well as her direction. Her ability to work with light is astounding. On top of all of that, she is an amazing person with a great soul! We cannot thank you enough Ren, we will definitely be working with you in the future!”

“I cannot stress enough what an amazing job Renske did as our wedding photographer. From our engagement session, to planning all the wedding details, and up until the big day, Renske was extremely thoughtful, professional, and helpful. She was accommodating with the schedule and even willing to travel for us. And let me tell you, she is TALENTED. We were blown away at the gorgeous photos she gave us. Like, better than we could have even imagined. I couldn’t believe it. Plus, many of the photos were not easy to get. We got married in Butte, Montana on New Years Eve. It was very snowy, freezing, and temperatures below zero for a lot of the day. Not only did Renske and Kyle brave the cold for hours to get some of these beautiful shots, they had a great attitude about it. They were kind and fun with everyone, and we just had a really good time working with them. I was also very thankful for Renske’s ability to keep thing on track and moving according to schedule. And when things got pushed back she was willing to stay and make sure we got all of the shots we wanted. I am so glad that Renske made the trip to Butte for us, and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing photos for a special event.”

Fun facts

What do you consider your style to be?

I believe in a healthy balance of sophistication and playfulness. My approach to photographing your wedding is light, sharp and vibrant documentary style with a fine art touch. When it comes to portraits I step in with direction and prompting to create really romantic whimsical images but then also step back and get those small raw moments. The details of the day are a big part of every story so I always give them the extra attention they deserve. Getting playful when it comes to wedding parties can be so much fun and I pride myself in being super attentive when it comes to a couple's priorities and personalities. I do my best to follow the energy of the group while staying true to my style.

Where do you find your design inspiration?

To me a Wedding photo collection is all about the story as a whole with all of the special moments throughout. It starts with the details (shoes, rings, vow books, etc) and wouldn't be complete without the tears in grandmas eyes, or that look on the groom's face as he see's his love as a bride for the first time. The story is not only the reading of the vows but also the reaction of your guests listening. Capturing those moments throughout the day in a beautiful and artful way is what builds a strong collection.

Do you travel for clients? If so, where

I love to travel and hike all over Montana with my dog, and better yet with couples seeking amazing views and light. I am always up for an adventure to make the day more unique and meaningful. Be it an adventure engagement session, day after session, or time set aside on your wedding day let's get lost and find those magical moments that you will love forever
