“We met in Whistler, both living and working there for a ski season. Michael from Australia and Amanda from the lower mainland of British Columbia. It was love at first sight, and we clicked over our passion of all things outdoors, easy going personalities and family values. We were renting a house in Lake Tahoe with both our families and a few friends. Michael had finished a 100 mile trail race that morning and he popped the question that night when it was just the two of us. Given that we live in Australia and all of my family is in Canada, he had chosen to ask the question in Tahoe when all the families were together as he wanted my family to be able to celebrate the news in person. For our wedding, we wanted a micro wedding focused on family and bringing both families together from across the globe with lots of quality time over multiple days. “
