“This gorgeous wedding day was filled with thoughtful details. From the vintage beer truck, to the custom Photo Booth wall, down to the couple choosing their favorite food truck for dinner (the Montana State University favorite – Taco Montes). Every moment of this day was exactly what they wanted it to be and I loved the choices they made in planning to make the day their own. The bride’s gown had sheer layers and I was obsessed with having her twirl in the light, catching all that magic light. She literally lit up the room from light diffusion through her skirt when I had her twirl it around after her wardrobe was complete before her first look. The groom’s long time best friend played a trick on him by pretending to be Hope and “first-looking” him, which was hilarious and so sweet. On our way to the final couple portraits of the night, the couple and I were racing to location out in the field to catch the last rays of light. It was easier and quicker for the bride to just pick up her full gown and go in her birkenstocks. The groom instinctively went to “help” with her gown and ended up only holding a tiny piece of it, but he carried it the whole way. A completely authentic, unprompted, and hilariously sweet moment I captured that has become some of my, the couple’s, and event planner’s favorites shots from the evening. We had a stunning golden hour sunset to finish couple portraits then after dark, the bride, groom, and guests took to the dance floor with glow sticks and everyone of all ages got down. The bride and groom even did the worm in the center of the deck at one point. While the couple were distracted, their friends snuck out to their truck and filled it with balloons and wrote “Just Married.” Such an amazing day and so tender, warm, full of laughter and tears. It’s so obvious to everyone around them how perfect Hope & Eli are together and it was a joy to capture all that love surrounding them.”
