How did the venue become a wedding venue?
The Lodge at Breckenridge’s story began in the 1970s as Breckenridge’s first fitness center, serving the local community on Boreas Pass Road. In the 1980s, it evolved into a boutique lodge and spa with a beloved local restaurant. As the property grew in popularity, it expanded again in the 1990s—adding 14 new guest rooms and, most notably, building what would become its iconic wedding venue. Perched at 10,200 feet, with sweeping views of the Tenmile Range and Breckenridge Ski Resort, the newly constructed Sky View Deck quickly made The Lodge a sought-after destination for mountain weddings. What began as a local fitness hub transformed over the decades into one of Colorado’s most scenic and romantic places to say “I do.”
