From tousled hair to leftover wedding cake, every detail in this shoot feels raw, real and romantic. The sweet romance created on your wedding day doesn’t have to end on the day itself, but instead transfers over to the rest of your lives together. Tin Poppy Retreat is a dream elopement and honeymoon destination that gives couples a fun, unique stay the night of their wedding.
Rae Connell dreamt up this shoot to capture a couple still wrapped in the glow of their wedding celebration. Her sentimental photographic style is what pieced the entire cozy, romantic feel of the shoot. “Focusing on elements like eating leftover wedding cake in their pyjamas, opening cards, lounging around sharing stories, and clothes flung around the scene, we included vintage polaroids, analog film and a comfortable, simplistic but cozy setting to feed the nostalgic and cinematic ambiance,” says Rae.
