Yarrow & Spruce Floral Company

I believe that good floral design impacts you in unexpected + magical ways, & that life is always better with flowers.

Some of my earliest memories are centered around flowers.

As a child, I would spend afternoons helping my dad in his garden. The smell of geraniums still takes me back to those warm Colorado afternoons helping him dead-head his massive petunia plants. I would create dandelion flower crowns, and gather wildflowers from along the creek by our house, and imagine what my wedding bouquet might look like someday.

Life can take you to fun and unimaginable places, and during my twenties I found myself traveling all around the world with my soon-to-be husband, Ian. I was addicted to the adventure of seeing new places, trying new foods, learning new languages, and meeting new people.

But all along the way, I never stopped noticing the flowers.

I began working professionally with flowers in the January of 2018 under a highly regarded boutique florist in Denver. In May of 2021, I decided to begin my own flower adventure and created Yarrow & Spruce Floral Company.

I would love to help you notice the flowers as you create your own cherished memories.

Love Notes
Sheilan was GREAT to work with! She communicated clearly, was prompt in her responses, and was very detail-oriented. She did all of the florals for our wedding in September of 2021 in Denver, CO and it looked amazing! Highly recommend!

The arrangements Yarrow & Spruce made for my wedding were stunning. They were given creative freedom to use whichever flowers made sense, and the results were incredible.
— Katie G.
I cannot recommend Yarrow & Spruce enough, the attention detail and thought behind every placement is impeccable. You need to contact Yarrow & Spruce for your floral needs, they will blow you away.

Fun facts

What do you consider your style to be?

My preferred floral style is working with whatever is in season! Colorado is so fortunate to have an amazing selection of local flower farms, and I find whenever a couple is open to their floral design being tied to seasonality, the results are outstanding. In addition to their unparalleled beauty, local flowers are often more sustainable + environmentally conscious.

Do you travel for clients? If so, where?

If you read my bio, you know that travel has played a major role is shaping who I am! I am based out of Denver, but would love to travel + design for your wedding, wherever it is in Colorado!

Where do you find your design inspiration?

Color is very important for me in my floral design, and I find color inspiration all around me in my day-to-day life. It's amazing how the same color can change when you mix it with different hues. Given how passionate I am about color, I often hand select a large portion of my blooms when designing for a wedding.

What are your favorite activities to do in The Rockies?

As a Colorado native, I am passionate about all of the outdoor adventure that the Rocky Mountains have to offer. Some of my favorite pastimes are hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, camping, and epic-sunset seeking. And all along my adventures, I am always sure to stop and appreciate the wild flora and fauna.
