White Cottage Farm

A bit of country, just outside the city

The White Cottage Farm is a beautifully restored, historic dairy farm that sits on just over eight acres. It is the perfect setting for intimate events for up to 100 guests. Located just east of Monument in the beautiful Black Forest, it is convenient to I-25, several hotels, restaurants, and the Air Force Academy. Choose from several locations on the property including several outdoor locations, two indoor event pavilions, or the schoolhouse chapel. The venue is available for weddings, vow renewals, bridal showers, receptions, family reunions, holiday parties, bridal, family and senior portraits. The 1909 farmhouse and bunkhouse are also available for overnight stays. Our onsite partner company, Sisterhood Vintage Designs, offers all of the unique items to create an event that be remembered for a lifetime. We have a preferred vendor list for catering, event planners, and photographers, but you are also free to select your own.

Love Notes

“White Cottage Farm was everything I imagined for my perfect day! The historic farmhouse and outbuildings have been recreated as charming spaces for a wedding, with lots of options for where to have the ceremony and reception either inside or outdoors. It was hard to choose but my fiancé just loved the cool bar setup in the old silo, so that helped us to decide. The milking barn is attached to the silo and was perfect for our cocktails and dinner, and the patio was for dancing and partying! We got married at the Tiny Chapel outside and it was so romantic. And everywhere on the property is great for photos. Highly recommend!”

‘This is not a cookie-cutter event space. White Cottage Farm was once a ranch in Black Forest and has been completely renovated without losing the country character of the buildings. As a girl who grew up in Black Forest, this was a place I really wanted to work for us, and it did!  Everything about it, from getting ready in the farmhouse (and the guys in the Bunkhouse) made the day so easy and casual. We used The Chapel for our ceremony and then the big open Pavilion for dinner and dancing. And we had the Tuxedo bar which is a horse trailer turned into a bar station, so cute and fun! The venue includes so many extras, like great tables and vintage furniture seating areas and fun photo spots. I liked especially that we were the only wedding for the day—they only do one each day—so we weren’t rushed or bothered by strangers wandering around.  Everything was just how we wanted it, could not have been happier with our choice.”

“My fiancé and I had looked at quite a few places and we thought we wouldn’t find a place that was wonderful but also affordable. A friend recommended White Cottage Farm (her mom knows the owner) and it was perfect! Not only is it really pretty and different than a lot of places, it has so much included in the day rental. And you can provide your own alcohol, which is a big expense with most places that make you buy theirs. My girls and I got ready in the farmhouse (which I could move into and live forever if they’d let me!) and we did pictures all over the property. We got married in The Chapel, keeping it traditional for my grandma, and then had our reception across the lawn on this huge patio, with lights and a stage and a fire pit. I really loved how the team there was anxious to make it all nice for us. They have people who help you design your dream and then they actually have the stuff there to make it happen. If you wanted a rustic country wedding that is not TOO rustic, it’s here.”
