Hi there! My name is Ginnelle Glasgow and I am the main planner and owner of Three Sisters Events.
I have always loved everything that has to do with weddings & when most people find the planning process overwhelming and difficult, I enjoy every second of it. I have worked in the event world for over 10 years. Starting my career off as a Banquet Cook, then Server and moving on to Event Coordination which led me to my last role at a large Calgary hotel as an Event Sales Manager. I have helped plan and execute everything from small family events to massive corporate conferences. With all this experience, I know what it takes to make the day successful, beautiful and most importantly fun for everyone.
After many years of talking with my two sisters about starting our own wedding planning company, we finally took the jump in 2020. I know, it’s a crazy time to start an event company, when we couldn’t have events. But we started small with a few backyard weddings and things grew from there. We have grown our little business into something we are incredibly proud of. And our biggest strength is each other. We each bring a different element to help you celebrate your love and commitment in an unforgettable way.
The team at Three Sisters Events know that the best weddings, big or small, need a plan. We want our couples to focus on nothing but each other, because that is what it’s all about! My team focuses on all the small details, prep and communication so you can have the day you always dreamed of without any of the stress. “Groom here, going full disclosure on this review, but if you don’t want to read here it is: TLDR- Book these ladies, they are amazing. When my fiance told me we were getting a wedding planner, I was not on board. I didn’t see the value to cost making any sense. I went along with it because it wasn’t worth disagreeing when she was already “in” on the idea of a planner. We had a very nice meeting with Ginelle a month prior to wedding date. After the meeting I felt more at ease that she and my fiance were on the same page and they would be able to execute on our vision, but I still wasn’t sure of the cost to value. Fast forward to wedding day. Holy schmoly! The detail and work that Ginelle and her sisters put in made the execution of the day effortless and flawless on our (Bride & Groom) part. Had we not booked Three Sisters, the details, setup, organisation, liaising (venue-catering-officiant-dj-ceremony timelines etc) would have all fallen to us and our family to arrange and execute. The burden of running all that would no doubt have soured somebody’s day (probably the Bride), and instead we were all able to relax and enjoy and share in the love of the most beautiful day. I think we may have even made Ginelle cry. 😉 At the end of the day, my opinion of not seeing value for cost is 1000% flipped upside down. I don’t know what my ignorant dude mind expected they would be doing, but they did all of it and then some. If you read this far, do yourself a favour and hope they are available for your wedding date. They are amazing.”
