I’m Yeliz Berg, the owner and creative director of The Hytch, an intimate riverside wedding venue and elopement company in Reno–Tahoe. I specialize in creating deeply personal, stylish celebrations where couples can be fully present instead of stressed.
My work includes micro weddings, pop-up ceremonies, and adventure elopements — all designed with intention, never from a template. I’m supported by an incredible team of planners, officiants, photographers, and florists who share the same passion for meaningful, elevated experiences.
My goal is simple: to make your wedding day feel effortless, intimate, and unforgettable — a moment you want to live in forever.

What do you consider your style to be?
Romantic, intentional, and story driven. We love blending natural beauty with thoughtful design to create celebrations that feel authentic to each couple. Our style combines modern elegance with organic charm, resulting in something refined and never overdone.
How did you get started in the wedding industry?
In 2017, I found myself attending wedding after wedding, many of them small, intimate celebrations hosted by close friends. What stood out, however, was not just the love stories or the joy in the air, but the lack of options. Nearly every couple had their wedding in a casino ballroom, not because they wanted to, but because alternatives were limited. The price tags were high, and the photos were almost always taken indoors, dark, and missing the natural beauty that the day deserved. At the time, I had spent thirteen years working for a technology company. It was a stable career I was grateful for, but I had always dreamed of starting something of my own. I just had not found the right path—until I discovered the concept of elopements. The term was still unfamiliar to many, but I instantly felt a spark. I wondered why there wasn’t a business that made it simple for couples to have meaningful, beautiful weddings in nature without the pressure of a traditional guest list or a large price tag. That curiosity and vision led to the birth of The Hytch in 2018. I imagined a company that specialized in intimate weddings, where couples could celebrate surrounded by nature, with thoughtful design, and without feeling overwhelmed. We created packages for micro weddings, boutique pop-ups, and elopement adventures, each tailored for couples who wanted something intentional, personal, and stress-free. It was not an overnight success. In fact, it took six months to book our very first client. But I believed in the idea, and more importantly, I believed in the couples we were creating it for. Today, The Hytch has helped hundreds of couples celebrate in a way that feels true to them. Looking back, I am grateful that a combination of frustration, curiosity, and a desire for creative freedom led me here. I left a thirteen-year career in tech to follow a dream, and in doing so, I helped build a space where love stories are told a little differently—under trees, beside rivers, and always with heart.
Do you travel for clients? If so, where?
Yes! We serve couples in Reno, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Denver, and parts of California. This year we expanded internationally to Turkey, my home country, and we are excited to offer elopements overseas complete with full planning and cultural experiences to create unforgettable celebrations.
Where do you find your design inspiration?
Our inspiration always begins with our couples. We ask them to share their vision, Pinterest boards, and personal style, then transform those ideas into cohesive and elevated designs that feel true to who they are. A micro wedding does not mean giving up the details or atmosphere of a larger celebration. We believe every couple deserves beauty, intention, and joy in their day, no matter the size. We also provide different packages based on each couple’s needs, from our Elopement Adventure to Micro Wedding and Pop-Up Wedding options. Each package is designed to fit different visions and guest sizes, giving couples the freedom to celebrate in a way that feels personal and meaningful to them.
