Tana Photography

LIFE IS ART. It’s a popular saying and it’s one I love and live by! I’ve been surrounded by different forms of art my whole life. My father was an amateur photographer and I was in his darkrooms and involved with photography as far back as I can remember. My studies and professional background include advertising, marketing, fine art, and makeup artistry. I’ve been photographing in the Northwest and wherever else clients bring me, for over 15 years. I believe weddings are one of life’s fascinating events, and it’s a day of special energy that I absolutely love!

Love Notes

“Tana did the most beautiful job on my wedding photos. I couldn’t recommend her enough! Not only did she go above and beyond with the photos, but she became a friend! She is amazing!”

“Photos last a lifetime and I’ll remember Tana every time I look back on my wedding photos. I appreciate her confidence, trustworthiness, and creativity. She is a high quality photographer, who loves details, captures delightful angles, and works to portray the best version of you. She was flexible to my requests, but was also consultative and provided suggestions. On my wedding day, I knew I was in good hands. I trusted Tana’s vision and followed her guidance. She has endless great ideas and a passionate eye for details. As a result of Tana’s passion, my wedding photos are literally my wedding dreams captured forever.”

Fun facts

What do you consider your style to be?

I love to bring an editorial look to my work with a bit of a lifestyle feel. I love being creative with all my clients and I also watch for elements that show just how a wedding day felt. If you're a couple who looks at my photography and can see yourselves there, then you're my people!

What is your favorite part about a wedding?

I'm a sentimentalist, and I love to see generations of a family celebrating a new beginning. I also tend to get teary-eyed when I hear heartfelt vows from the couple. I learn so much about my clients from witnessing their ceremony and hearing about their story from the families.

What are your favorite activities to do in The Rockies?

I grew up spending my summers swimming in the same lake as my mother and grandmother did, Priest Lake, Idaho. It's near the border of Canada, and the west side of the Rockies. It's my favorite place on earth. I spend every summer there picking huckleberries, swimming, hiking in the forests, and toasting marshmallows.
