In 2007 I found my calling: to give back to humanity. After two years of volunteering in Kenya and Ecuador I had to bring this calling close to home. Shortly after I realized the power of video – it leaves us inspired; evokes tears and laughter.
I also knew that I needed to be around other – people are my caffeine. My calling then became filmmaking. FYI, you can 100% expect me to be on that dance floor!
Just outside of Vancouver my wife and I established a home that’s frequently filled by our friends and family.
As I write this my cat is taking over the desk space demanding attention – I should go deal with that…
What do you consider your style to be? Upbeat with romantic sprinkles. I want you to laugh and shed one or two tears of joy; to remember how badass your dance floor was and how wonderful your grandparents were. As a vendor, it's about Collaboration, not competition. I consider myself as a teammate to your photographer and wedding planner.
What are your favorite kinds of couples to work with? Flexible & adaptable; values family and friends; wants an awesome party
How did you get started in the wedding industry? By mistake, but I was immediately hooked. After completing formal education in Digital Video Production and Film Studies I pursued a career in commercial work. To pay the bills however, I took on weddings. Quickly, I realized how important a wedding video is: it gives couples the ability to remember their wedding; to show their kids who their grandparents were and what they looked like 20 years ago. I stumbled into making wedding videos, and I'm so fortunate that I took the trip.
Do you travel for clients? If so, where? Yes! Inter-continental. Further abroad on a case-by-case basis.
