Celebrating love and humanity through art.

Welcome! My name is Shel and I am an open-hearted and energetic soul that loves celebrating humanity through photography. Truly, at the core of my photography is human connection, and that connection helps me tell your authentic story! I have a deep love for people and artfully capturing those moments that pass us by so quickly.

Along with photography, I also partner with my wedding clients on stationary and floral needs to create a truly custom and expansive experience. I adore creating, and sharing my creations with the people around me is definitely something that feeds my soul.

My style of photography is a little bit of pose, a lot a bit of natural. I love helping clients just enjoy the present moments around us while we are creating.

All are welcome here, and I look forward to the opportunity of working with you!!

Love Notes

“Shelby is everything you could ever hope for in a photographer. Actually, she blew away our expectations! Shelby helped beyond her duty of a photographer by helping us find a location, making a beautiful bouquet for me, and then totally adapting when the pandemic struck! Shelby is adaptable & incredibly creative! She did everything she possibly could to make our special day still happen & to keep our vision. She made us so comfortable the entire time that it truly felt like we were just hanging out with a good friend. She always made sure my hair looked nice and gave great directions for posing. Shelby is doing what she’s meant to be doing. She is knowledgeable about lighting and truly has an eye for the perfect shot. She captures those little moments you want to keep forever. From our very first communication, she was supportive & prompt. Shelby is incredible; I would recommend her to anyone!”

Fun facts

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

I really got started after falling in love with photography in high school. I started off shooting film and spent most of my time in the dark room. That really catapulted me into photographing people more and more which then naturally progressed into photographing weddings.

Where do you find your design inspiration?

I definitely gain a lot of inspiration from being in the mountains, but I also adore being in a bustling city. There is so much life in both areas, and it is so fun to just observe and feel. All of those observations and feelings of those places really inspire all that I do.

What is your favorite part about a wedding?

I love having a chance to be a part of the wedding journey prior to the actual day with my clients. Learning about them, helping them with planning, and all the other fun things gearing up to the day of really helps my feel so connected on the actual day. It would be obvious to say literally taking the photos, but it is so much more than that for me.

What are your favorite activities to do in The Rockies?

Days next to and in the Poudre River are my favorite days in the mountains. Especially when I am surrounded by my family and dogs!
