What do you consider your style to be?
My work is fresh, timeless, vibrant and always high quality. Because of this, your photos will stand the test of time and showcase your most full of life emotions.
How did you get started in the wedding industry?
Way back in 2007 I started portrait photography then my friends begged me to shoot their wedding in 2015! I fell in love with weddings, the raw emotions, and the structure of the day. I never looked back and have now been shooting weddings for 8 years and have gained my Accrediations in three wedding categories with the Professional Photographers of Canada. I have also won Best in Class for Wedding Photojournalism in both Alberta and Canada.
Where do you find your design inspiration?
I am hugely inspired by old Kodak Portra film. The timeless look and tones of colours is what initially inspired my style of photography. I have worked years to produce a style easily recognizable as "Schae" which is inspired by film tones but with more vibrance, clarity, and punch.
What is your favorite part about a wedding?
My favourite part is in the morning when the bride is getting ready and her gown is getting put on. There is so much joy, suspense, and emotion here that I can capture things in a documentarian way. I also love when the bride walks down the aisle, the formals of the couple, and the candids that happen at receptions! I love it all!
