Hello!! My name is Riley Mathis and photography is my PASSION! I was raised surrounded by photography by having my dad as an action sports photographer. He has taught me everything I know and has been an inspiration to me and I have always wanted to be a photographer just like him. He gave me my first camera when I was young and since then I’ve always had a camera in my hand!! I would take pictures at family gatherings and trips and document life with my family. After graduating high school, I knew that I want to be a photographer, and being a romantic by watching 80’s rom-coms with my mom, I loved the idea of being a wedding photographer!
I love capturing people’s love and being the source for them to have these tangible memories for a lifetime. I truly believe that photos are the most important thing you can have to look back on and relive your beloved days.

What do you consider your style to be?
TIMELESS. My highest priority is to be sure my clients who receive their wedding gallery are raving fans now to 20 years in the future. I provide high quality, modern, timeless photos and edits that are true to tone.
How did you get started in the wedding industry?
A random couple on Instagram reached out to me and asked how much I charge for weddings! I was shocked because I hadn't gained a portfolio working with couples at the time and hadn't thought of weddings yet. I honestly didn't feel ready to take on photographing weddings yet, but it made me realize I could have a lot of fun photographing couples for weddings. I shadowed and second shot with wedding photographers, I attended workshops, and was able to get the confidence and experience I needed to begin booking weddings. So I guess being a wedding photographer happened when I least expected it!! I knew I wanted to be a photographer all my life, but being a wedding photographer is the best decision. I LOVE WEDDINGS and working with the cutest couples who are so in love!
Do you travel for clients? If so, where?
Absolutely!! I can travel anywhere, it's definitely a goal of mine to gain clientele who are willing to take me anywhere in the world to document their love. I've been to Idaho and Arizona for weddings and can't wait to add more states (& countries!) in the future one day!
