Plume & Furrow

Floral Design Studio & Flower Farm

Plume and Furrow is a collective of flower enthusiasts and kindred spirits that love nature, creating, and the intersection of the two. We are farmers and designers, skilled and industrious, and passionate for propagating beauty. We strive to grow an abundance of flowers in an immense variety of colors, shapes, and textures, from April through November. Our fields provide the flowers and fillers used in our arrangements. Because we grow the majority of the flowers used, we can assure you that the quality and variety of our flower selection is hard to beat! We are endlessly grateful to call the Lyons Farmette our home, and it is from this joyful place that we are able to share our flowers with you.

Love Notes

“Holy smokes, I could not write a higher review about Plume & Furrow. I feel so lucky to have worked with Kim on the flowers for our wedding. She listened to our vision and executed it in more beauty than I have words to describe. My first tears of the day where when I saw the impeccable flower crown she created and every arrangement thereafter brought tears of joy to my eyes. Gorgeous is a word that doesn’t do their work justice. The arbor, floral curtain and spray were radiant, the tablescapes breath taking and all the bouquets overwhelming  in their beauty. Grant made the most delicious and lovely honey favors for our day and we couldn’t have been happier with how the labels turned out. Kim and Grant are such a calming precense and their energy was the perfect reprieve from a day filled with stress and nerves. Flowers were one of the three most important parts of the day for me and these stunners were worth every penny. Thanks so much Kim & Grant for being the beautiful people that you are and having your work be a perfect expression of that.”

– Kaitlyn + James, Lyons Farmette

“Kim at Plume & Furrow was BY FAR my favorite vendor to work with for our St Vrain Wedding! Kim put together the most jaw dropping ceremony backdrop and bridal bouquet. I told her those were the two most important aspects to me, and she definitely listened! She took our pretty low budget and made it work so well instead of trying to raise our budget like other vendors sometimes do! She is a magician! We loved her and we could not recommend Plume & Furrow enough- truly good hearted people who are passionate about making beautiful work.”

– Sydney + Wyatt, St. Vrain

“Plume & Furrow were kind enough to partner with their vendor friends to be a part of an elopement giveaway and my *now husband* and I were lucky enough to be chosen! I have never seen such a beautiful arrangement of flowers! Kim is such an incredibly kind and talented person! Thank you so much for picking us to gift with your GORGEOUS flower arrangements. She is such a sweet person!! I was/still am obsessed with all the arrangements she put together including a very large floral ceremonial piece, a large bouquet, and table centerpieces for our intimate meal. The fact that you chose to be a part of this giveaway in the pandemic really shows what kind of people you are, and we are eternally grateful. You have given us the most beautiful day of our life together! Thank you so much to Plume & Furrow and all the other vendors who were involved in this giveaway!”

Fun facts

What do you consider your style to be?

Artful, whimsical, and inspired by nature.

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

Both Grant and I arrived at the Farmette as farm interns in 2015, hoping to gain experience with connecting plants and our community. We were not expecting to fall in love with both each other and of course the many other love stories that we are privileged to witness each year, but are so thankful that we've landed where we are!

Where do you find your design inspiration?

Nature! We spend most of our lives outside. From starting flower seeds in January, to designing in our cozy outdoor studio, we're constantly in awe of the subtle (or not so subtle!) changes that the Colorado seasons bring. As a designer, I can't imagine a time when I can't run back out to the garden to pick that very special something that bloomed that morning to tuck into a bridal bouquet. I wouldn't be doing this any other way!
