Open Routes Adventures

When we allow ourselves to engage our wild, rustic, self, removed from modern conveniences and distractions, connection arises—unforced, authentic, and true.

Open Routes Adventures offers creative educational opportunities for couples, families and adults to work on skill building and prevention in the outdoors. Wilderness settings allow you to unplug from daily stressors and reconnect with your surroundings and each other. Open Routes Wilderness Retreats are built specifically to create space for couples to work on relationship skills while exploring new terrain together. This adventure offers time for recreating, relaxing, and reconnecting your relationship with daily guidance and support from relationship counselor and coach Blair Anne Hensen, LCPC. Together we will work on skills building tools for communication, connection, emotional support, trust, and secure relationship principles, and more!

Love Notes

“We loved spending time in the wilderness with Blair and all of the other couples on the trip! Having a reason to focus on our relationship, being able to relate to others, and learning about useful tools to practice at home was really amazing. The views weren’t bad either ;)”

“We had a great weekend hiking and camping! The activities were fun, low-key, and I felt more connected to my partner when I left.”
