Weddings for the adventurous and beloved
A wise, old friend once told me the key to a happy life is to accommodate everything in moderation, including moderation. I’ve abided by this mentality ever since.
I believe in balance – a healthy combination of discipline and indulgence, socializing and solitude, humility and pride, and remaining open to all other lifestyles without abandoning your true self.
I have learned so much by observing the world through the eyes of my lens. This is a blessing and a curse. I will forever witness a rising sun, meet a new person or overhear a conversation and contemplate how I can share another story through my images.
But this has become a part of me. I genuinely believe this is what I was meant to do. I base the center of my life around people and purpose, and I count myself fortunate to have found mine.
I would be incredibly eager to take your portrait.
Let’s work together to tell your story through my lens.
We had such an easy and good time working with Alex. We got to take engagement photos with her in the winter time, so we had months of getting to know her before our wedding day, which was very helpful. She was so intentional to get to know us beyond taking pictures of us. She became a friend and made us feel so comfortable. It was really important to us having an outdoor, Montana wedding that we had all our couple, family and wedding party photos with mountains in the backdrop. She was so patient throughout the whole day and we are so incredibly happy with our gorgeous mountain wedding pictures! I would recommend Alex to anyone who is looking for beautiful, adventurous photos for their big day!
I'm pretty sure there is no one better than Alex in the business. She is incredibly professional and personable; I trusted her completely with our wedding, and she far exceeded even my high expectations. She did such an amazing job capturing hundreds of little moments that we love being able to look back on now. Really can't do anything but gush about how wonderful she was!
What can I say, Alex is the BEST! I am speechless with how much love, life and joy she captured in all our photos from our wedding day. She is super organized, responsive and funny and personable AND she is an incredible artist and brings so much perspective and vision to the photos she takes. We were so happy working with Alex we made step in front of the camera and take a photo with us because we love her so much. Thank you Alex for all you do, we are SO glad you have found photography, what a gift you bring to the world!! We hope to work with you again for future family photos.
What do you consider your style to be? I would classify my style as earthy and documentary. I love bringing life, color and authenticity into my photos through storytelling. I appreciate the raw and the real--every emotion under the sun. All of that will be captured through my lens. Weddings are about emotions. Period. No fleeting moments will go unnoticed because I think some of those are the most important to reflect back upon.
What are your favorite kinds of couples to work with? I love working with couples that aren't afraid to step outside their comfort zone. My absolute favorite thing to do is to make someone feel more comfortable inside their own skin than before they worked with me--I think this happens when people are open and willing to let their guard down.
What is your favorite part about a wedding? My favorite thing about weddings is the the unseen, in-between moments. The prayer before the ceremony, the deep conversation with a grandparent, the hand-holding during dinner, the subtle glances between Mom and Dad while their little girl is walking down the isle--these things to me hold the most value.
Do you travel for clients? If so, where? I will travel anywhere hearts align! While I love my Montana home so dearly, I also seek inspiration from new and unique places!
