More Van Anything
Love stories from the Rockies
I’m Jaclyn Baer! I’m a landscape painter, wildflower connoisseur, and probably more importantly–an elopement + wedding photographer based in Colorado. I provide a unique and more intentional approach to capturing candid moments. And I’ve been a full-time photographer for over a decade.
I used to live and travel in my van Moonbeam with my husband (who I met on a road trip to Canada). Even with all my travels, Colorado has always been where I felt most at home. I can’t wait to celebrate your relationship in a place that means so much to me!
We had the most incredible wedding day and overall journey with More Van Anything. First, they are in touch during the entire process and provide helpful advice and lists, help you find vendors, and give lots of suggestions in the area. Also, they have a really laid back vibe and are really kind and genuine people. We were so nervous and don’t love being in front of a camera but they made it so easy!
It truly felt like we were hanging out with friends. They were patient with us, made us laugh, and helped us to relax and be in the moment. They knew exactly when to give us alone time as well to take in the emotions and just be present with each other. Instead of positioning us in awkward poses, they gave us prompts to get all the good action shots and otherwise let us do our thing. Our day could not have been more perfect or seamless and I am grateful every day for how well our day came together, and we have Ryan and Jaclyn to thank for that.
Ryan & Jaclyn of More Van Anything stood out from the crowd for us. Their photos were bomb, and they include video as part of their services. Fast forward to elopement day and WOW. These two blew me away with their professionalism, friendliness, and general easy going nature.
They guided us through so many small activities that kept us focused, grounded, centered, connected, and cracking up laughing. It’s hard to put to words how much I took away from that day because of the energy they put into us. Our wedding day is now this epic story that launched our relationship and love to the next phase of life and I am so so grateful for this experience. If you ever day dreamed about your wedding day being super fun and stress free, hire More Van Anything and trust them to deliver exactly what you envision your day to be.
Ryan and Jaclyn are two of the kindest, most humble and talented people we have met. On our elopement day, their laid back style put us at ease and to our surprise, we felt really relaxed on our big day and truly enjoyed all the activities we've planned for the day. At no point were we rushed from one location to another. We even had time to fit in a mid-day nap! In addition, the little games and prompts Ryan and Jaclyn provided throughout the day not only allowed them to take all the shots needed but genuinely allowed my husband and I to reflect on our relationship. And all the emotions definitely show through the stunning pictures and video we received. Our elopement day truly could not have been more perfect and we owe a debt of gratitude to More Van Anything who helped us put the elopement plan together.
YAYAYAYAYY!!!! Wow, thank you both soooo much, we are incredibly happy with all the photos :) These are so, so beautiful! I am amazed by everything that you captured -- and by everything, I mean EVERYTHING lol. I mean wow, you two are truly doing what you're meant to be doing, and I'm so excited to cover our entire house with your photos!! I am amazed that you helped us look so good in so many of them! Obviously this is the result of you both being so warm and friendly that we immediately felt comfortable with you taking photos. (Seriously, even my parents talked about how much they loved you both for at least a week after the wedding was over.)
What do you consider your style to be? Laidback, documentary, true to color, authentic
What are your favorite kinds of couples to work with? Chill couples in love! Really just about any couple that's willing to trust me and let me help them have an amazing wedding experience. I'm more introverted and down to earth, so couples who want a more easygoing vibe from their photographer will be a great fit with me!
What are your favorite activities to do in The Rockies? Plein air painting, backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing, fly fishing with my husband, pretty much anything that gets me out exploring the Rockies! You'll probably find me painting in the San Juans or reading a book by the South Platte while my husband meanders upstream.
What is your favorite part about a wedding? Being able to observe my couples be their 100% authentic selves--whether they're goofballs, introverts, the kind of couple that dances in the grocery store--just knowing that this couple feels comfortable and celebrated. Beyond that, just being able to capture meaningful moments between the couple and their family. I'm not super close to my family. And seeing how close and loving the couples' family is on the wedding day really melts my heart and reminds me why I became a photographer in the first place.
