Laura Powers Photo
For the non-traditional, adventure seeking deeply in love folks.
Photographing weddings and elopements have somewhat become part of my personality. I’ve shot hundreds of weddings and can’t quite articulate the incredible emotions I feel when I’m documenting these highly pivotal moments. I’ve always been an emotional, swim in the deep end, empath kind of person and I feel things so deeply and that’s something I want to be shown through my photos. I want you to feel the movement from a still photograph and feel those genuine exalting emotions from looking at a photo of a couple being spun around and getting rowdy on a dance floor!

Love Notes
“Laura and I met a few years ago through a mutual friend on a Bachelor Monday. I don’t even think she had picked up a camera at that point. By the time I got engaged, a few bachelor Mondays had passed and I watched Laura’s photography develop and evolve through social media. When I was searching for photographers, my best friend said, “what about Laura!?” It was a pretty definitive yes from me! If it’s not obvious by the date of this review, I was a “Covid Bride” , so I should tell you this review will probably be less about Laura’s photography and just more about Laura. When we started realizing our plans were going to shift, Laura took my calls from the road, after night shifts at the hospital, and in the middle of the day. She sent design ideas and helped search for secondary venues. Without hesitation Laura essentially became wedding coordinator. I booked my venue sight unseen, if that tells you what a joy I must be to work with and to be honest, I really didn’t have a ceremony plan. We did not do a run through because of Covid and I can’t imagine how the day of would have gone without Laura. She coordinated the groomsmen and ushered the guests all while taking the most stunning photos. I really wish I had the words to say how grateful I am for her support through the whole process. When someone tells you “You get what you pay for with a photographer”, listen to them. She’s more than worth it.”
