How did the venue become a wedding venue?
On May 17, 1911, Lee Woods & Leila Leonard unknowingly started a tradition that would last over 100 years. As the first couple to be married at Hotel Boulderado, Leila and Lee began their new lives together by descending the hotel's Grand Staircase to celebrate on the beautiful mezzanine overlooking the lobby. Since then, Hotel Boulderado's tradition of wedding ceremonies on our staircase has been embraced by countless couples celebrating love.
What is your favorite part about a wedding?
For us, it is all about the ceremony. Watching couples descend our century-old staircase with their friends and family gathered around is a moment that never gets old. It gets us every time.
