9 acres of varied landscape set the backdrop for your private luxury event. The historic Town of Hillside is the perfect mountain venue to host your closest family and friends for a special celebration. The lush softness of the stately 100+ year old willow grove with its lyrical brook winding through the massive trunks is a magical setting. The vaulted ceilings, exposed timbers, vintage clapboard walls, a classic stage, and antique oaken floors of the historic Hillside Hall accommodates up to 100 people for an indoor event. Five luxury cottages – previously mining shacks from another era – can sleep up to 18 on site. A beautiful cottage garden encourages an extended celebration and outdoor dining experience for your onsite guests.

How did the venue become a wedding venue?
For many years The Town of Hillside was an operational community gathering place for the local ranching community near the mountain town of Westcliffe, Colorado. Beginning in the late 1800's an operational post office, a local Grange Hall, a general store, and a handful of relocated historic mining cabins made up the town. As community needs shifted, the property became run down. In 2015, a local couple purchased the property with a goal of restoring the property and the buildings as a gathering place, where people can rest and be revitalized, and where special events can be crafted and enhanced by the gorgeous natural surroundings. Today that vision is a reality, and our team collaborates to provide a wonderful experience against a majestic backdrop for beautiful events on site - we can't wait to host yours!
