“We decided on a destination wedding in Breckenridge and needed a place that would comfortably fit five families. This place was perfect and had amazing views of the mountains and wildlife. It’s close to everything but feels like you have the mountains to yourself. We had breakfast and a reception dinner catered in-house. The food was delicious and service was outstanding!”
“My husband and I are from Australia and wanted a small intimate wedding both families could be apart of. Even though it was a small wedding there were still many questions we had while planning from overseas and Patrick was amazing in promptly answering any questions. When we arrived at the lodge it had exceeded our expectations. The view was breathtaking and the trees has started to change to a hint of yellow. The house was very cozy and well maintained. Patrick and his wife Petra did the cooking for our wedding day and all our guests were raving about it. We chose multiple hot/cold tapas along with the ranch style dinner and could not have been happier. Throughout the day both Patrick and Petra worked very hard to make sure everything went smoothly. If your thinking of having a wedding or any gathering do yourself a favor and stay at the High Country Lodge!”

“I recently had my wedding at HCL and I couldn’t have picked a better place! Both of our families (the only guests at the wedding) stayed at the lodge for the weekend with the ceremony on Saturday. The property was beautiful with the most amazing view of the mountains. Makes for a great photo background. The place is huge so most everyone has their own bathroom and plenty of space to roam. It’s also close enough to town that people can go explore if they wish. Not sure why anyone would though – I could sit outside on the deck forever. But best of all, there is no one around you so you feel like it’s just you and the surrounding forest. Patrick and his wife cooked our rehearsal and wedding dinners, and everyone raved about the food! They were also very flexible with us and the menu, as well as check-in and check-out time. I cannot wait to come back to HCL!”
