Love Notes
Krysta made the experience of planning our mountain wedding a breeze! She always gave us plenty of options at a variety of price points, and was always willing to look for more choices if we weren't 100% excited by the first round. She never pushed her opinions on us but flagged if there were considerations we should keep in mind with a certain choice, and helped us understand how we could keep our vision intact while balancing a realistic budget. Neither my fiancé nor I were especially excited by the idea of planning a wedding and I truly don't know how we could have done it without Krysta's organization, expertise, and attention to detail. After the big day so many of our guests have commented on how seamless the event was, and how we had thought of every detail. None of that would have been possible without Krysta. On top of all that, she is truly a lovely person and a joy to work with. She always helped us relax and gave us peace of mind throughout the process. Would 100000% recommend working with her!

Just wow! Krysta is a rockstar. My wife and I wanted something a little less traditional and she was with us every step of the way. From planning to execution, everything went perfectly. The day of our wedding was absolutely magical. We could not have imagined things were going to turn out as perfect as they did. Krysta was very present during planning and entertained all our ideas as well as giving us fantastic direction and suggestions. She really knows what she is doing. I was so impressed. I honestly never felt stressed during the planning and everything was just...easy. Elevation took care of EVERYTHING. The photographer she found for us was absolutely phenomenal, such a professional. And the pictures are just a dream. One of the most important things to us was that we got some great photos of the occasion and boy did they deliver! I feel like I could go on forever about how amazing our special day was. And that's all thanks to Krysta.

We couldn't have imagined a better wedding planner to make our beautiful day and vision come to life. It was such a relief to have Krysta as our wedding planner for a destination wedding, as she could give us the best recommendations for vendors, wedding venues, etc. and had immense knowledge of the Ouray/Telluride area. She always respected our budget and was never short of alternate options so we could stay within our price point. The day of our wedding was seamless and Krysta, along with her team, were so kind, attentive, and made sure everything went off without a hitch. All our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and Krysta was a big part of that and helped us come up with really unique details throughout our wedding. 10/10 would recommend Krysta!

Fun facts
What do you consider your style to be?
I’d describe my style as grounded, calm, thoughtful, and personal. In planning, that means taking care of the details while making sure the celebration stays true to the couple and how they want to spend time with their guests. I’m organized and approachable, always happy to talk through questions and offer honest advice with the couple’s best interests in mind. In design, I’m guided by the landscape. I gravitate towards natural textures, colors that belong in the surroundings, and details that complement the setting rather than compete with it. Ultimately, I’m creating an experience, not a production. I want couples to feel present, their guests to feel looked after, and everyone to have the space to enjoy being together somewhere extraordinary.
How did you get started in the wedding industry?
I’ve always wanted to be an event planner. Before industry related degrees were common, I studied communication and business and sought out hands-on experience, including an entertainment management certification, an event-planning internship at Walt Disney World, and all sorts of roles across hospitality and the events industry. But it was working as an event designer for a catering company that introduced me to weddings. I fell in love with planning them and since then, I’ve fully immersed myself in the industry and continue to learn from and connect with peers all over the world.
Do you travel for clients? If so, where?
Absolutely! I’m based in London and work worldwide, but having called the Rockies home for most of my life, coming back for a wedding always feels personal. I’ve spent years planning weddings and events in the Rocky Mountains, building trusted relationships with wedding professionals along the way. That experience means I bring both local knowledge and an international perspective to the celebrations I plan. Whether you’re getting married in the Rocky Mountains or somewhere further afield, travel is a natural part of what I do.
What are your favorite activities to do in The Rockies?
My favorite Rocky Mountain activities include hiking, backpacking, and trail riding. I’ve summited several of Colorado’s 14ers, ridden horses deep into the Montana woods, and hiked British Columbia’s beautiful trails. And my love of the outdoors extends into the Southwest, too. I’ve backpacked the Grand Canyon a couple of times, and The Wave is high on my list of places to visit. If you’re a couple hoping to make it part of your adventure, give me a shout! Bottom line, I love exploring remote places either by foot or horseback. Getting to experience what's beyond the view from the road is thrilling and grounding all at the same time.
