Diamond in the Rough Wedding and Events Venue is a family owned and operated venue, that has been built to provide a diamond quality experience for you and your loved ones. They are eagerly awaiting their future wedding seasons, so that they can continue to provide a timeless space, that will become a part of your family’s memories forever.
Their beautiful venue is located in Central Alberta and is truly a diamond in the rough, as a secluded property nestled back in the hills. With nearly 50 years of family history, our property is built on true passion and pride. They have a reception location in our awe inspiring barn that features indoor and outdoor space, where you and your guests will experience a remote and peaceful atmosphere.
Not only do they offer the venue, pond area, chapel, and many other ceremony sites to meet your event dreams. Diamond in the Rough is excited to invite you to stay in their one of a kind, custom built, 8 bedroom, 6,000 square foot log home, that has been customized to sleep 24 guests.
With their simple yet elegant venue design, you can create your day your way. Whether it be a dazzling diamond or rough rustic design, it’s effortlessly up to you.

“Diamond in the Rough was the perfect setting to make all our wedding day dreams come to life! The location is stunning, all our guests kept saying how beautiful the barn and surrounding green fields were. The donkeys and horses made for some entertainment! The staff was extremely helpful the day of our wedding and made sure anything we asked for was done. It was really great having access to the entire venue all weekend, that really helped keep stress levels low having everything done and set up early. We especially enjoyed having the log home for all our wedding party to stay in. Some of our favourite moments from the weekend was hanging out on the back deck with our favourite people. We would 10/10 recommend Diamond in the Rough!!”

Fun facts
How did the venue become a wedding venue?
Our daughter had a dream to open a beautiful wedding venue and with the intention that she wanted to share our little piece of heaven with so many. Our log home is one of a kind and very special to our family, we thought what better way to honour a legacy, to share it.
What is your favorite part about a wedding?
Our favourite thing about weddings that we host at Diamond in the Rough is always the happily married couple that moment that they each connect eyes.
Did you know?
We have a few favourite guests that like to attend each wedding; our large white draft horse Beau and a couple of his friends. They are always a guest favourite to interact with, feed apples to and capture a few selfies with.
