What are your favorite kinds of couples to work with?
Those who have a flexible vision and an appreciation for buttercream magic! I specialize in buttercream designs because they bring the best of both worlds—stunning looks and incredible taste. I love when couples have a theme in mind but are also open to letting me add a creative touch. It’s such a joy to bring their unique style to life in a way that’s as delicious as it is beautiful!
How did you get started in the wedding industry?
Cakes by Camryn is actually a silver lining from the pandemic. Before then, I was known for my celebratory cakes, but in 2020, when weddings pivoted to intimate gatherings, I stepped up to create cakes for couples tying the knot. That first wedding cake was a leap of faith, and I haven’t looked back! Since then, Cakes by Camryn has blossomed into a full-fledged wedding cake business, and I’m so grateful to play a sweet role in so many special days.
What is your favorite part about a wedding?
Call me biased, but it has to be the cake cutting! This tradition is such a beautifully memorable moment—one of the first you share as a married couple. I love that it’s not just about dessert; it’s about the two of you, hand in hand, cutting into that base tier to symbolize unity and the sweetness of a long-lasting partnership. Plus, who doesn’t love an excuse to sneak in a little playful frosting smudge?
