Brooke Buck Photography | Boulder Colorado Wedding Photographer
Lifestyle Wedding Photographer Serving the Midwest and Beyond
Hi, I’m Brooke, a small-town Kansas girl now living in Kansas City with my husband Wade and our two golden retrievers. Together, we are a husband-and-wife photo duo with a shared passion for storytelling and serving others. I’ve been photographing weddings for over a decade and bring a documentary, emotion-focused approach to every celebration. Wade is the behind-the-scenes MVP, fluffing dresses and capturing quiet magic alongside me. As a pediatric occupational therapist by trade, I bring patience, care, and a deep love for people to every session. Whether we’re hiking into mountain light or exploring the desert, our work is grounded in connection. We capture not just the beauty of your day but the moments in between—the ones that make your story truly yours, so you can relive them for decades to come in print.

Love Notes
Brooke (and her husband Wade) photographed our engagement and wedding photos and we could not ask for anyone better! She made the day go by seamlessly and captured it so perfectly and authentically! I was afraid of wedding day to feel like I would have to pose for so many photos but that was not the case at all! She captured raw moments where you can see and feel the happiness in the photos! I can look back on these photos as true moments in time full of memories & joy rather than a typical posed moment. We truly could not ask for anyone better!! We have received SOO many compliments on the photos! She was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning!

Where do I even begin with Brooke? Hiring Brooke and Wade for our wedding day was easily the best decision we made. From the beginning, Brooke had everything in order that we needed. She met with us early to establish a timeline, checked in periodically, sent a fantastic wedding guide, and was on top of everything for the big day! Communicating with her was a breeze and she made it so easy. Everyone in the wedding party talked about what a true gem she was!!

Working with Brooke was hands down the best decision my husband and I made for our wedding! From the first message to the big day, she made us feel incredibly supported and comfortable being ourselves. She is a treasure of a human and an unbelievable talent.

Fun facts
Where are you originally from?
I grew up on a farm outside of a tiny town called Grinnell, KS!
Do you travel for clients? If so, where?
Yes, absolutely! As a husband-wife duo, we love traveling for weddings, whether it's somewhere new or a place we know and love. We bring a spirit of adventure and deep appreciation for travel to every celebration we capture.
What are your favorite activities to do in The Rockies?
Since my family’s farm is pretty close to the Rockies, I grew up biking, hiking, four-wheeling, and snowboarding/skiing in the mountains. I loved it all, but downhill biking and hiking with my camera in hand are definitely my favorites. There’s nothing better than capturing the incredible scenery around me. I also love exploring the charming mountain towns, grabbing a coffee, and just soaking in the views.
What is your favorite part about a wedding?
I have two favorites. Creatively, I absolutely love capturing portraits of the bride and groom because there is something so timeless and romantic about those moments. But candidly, the part that always moves me the most is when couples exchange private vows or write their own for the ceremony. It is such an intimate and emotional moment, and it is truly an honor to witness. It never fails to bring a tear to my eye.
