A Piece of Harmony Events

I received a bachelors degree in communications with an emphasis in business management and a leadership certificate. I then pursued certificates in wedding & event planning, event decor and corporate events. I have been in this industry since 2014. In that time, I have been a coordinator for one venue and managed two others. I am very well versed in the world of weddings (some as large as 300 people). Other than planning events I enjoy rock climbing (so much so that we built a wall in our garage!), riding my motorcycle or quad, hanging out with husband and dogs or settling in with a good book.

Love Notes

“I worked with Sydney to plan and coordinate a wedding for my daughter while being 2,200 miles away. Our initial meeting with Sydney immediately put us at ease as it was clear the distance would be no issue.  She was incredibly organized – gently prompting us when it was time to make decisions and suggesting potential local vendors who may meet our needs.  She listened to the type of “feel” we were trying to create and then executed beautifully to every last detail including a fireworks finale.  Sydney helped with the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception which were all held under her coordination and direction.  She was able to work independently ensuring all set-up was done according to plan and her staff was outstanding, tending to every detail which allowed us to fully enjoy the wedding. I would love to have the opportunity to work with Sydney again and cannot recommend her work highly enough – she is outstanding.”

“My now husband and I met Sydney in 2016, approximately a year before we wed at Settlers Creek in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Sydney worked closely with us as we planned our wedding and played a vital role on our big day. Not only was Sydney incredibly organized and had an impeccable eye for detail, she made us feel comfortable and at ease with the whole wedding planning process. Sydney really listed to wedding our vision and made it a reality. The day of the wedding was stress-free as Sydney coordinated with all of the vendors, set-up all of our decorations, and swiftly handled any unforeseen obstacles. We were so fortunate to have Sydney by our side during such an exciting and stressful time and we wholeheartedly recommend her services. If you want your wedding stresses to melt away, she’s your girl!”

“We had a fantastic experience working with Sydney planning our wedding! We both felt like she cared about our hopes and vision and had the experience necessary to guide us when we didn’t know what we wanted. After every planning session, we felt comfortable and felt that we were in good hands. We were able to feel excited about our wedding, and not be worried that something was missing or going to be forgotten. We highly recommend Sydney for creating the wonderful event you’re looking for!”

Fun facts

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

I attended Eastern Washington University intending to be an athletic trainer, but like most college students, that was not the degree I graduated with. After quickly realizing that athletic training was not for me, I decided to follow my passion and make a career out of planning beautiful events (aka bossing people around).

What are your favorite kinds of couples to work with?

My favorite kind of couples are ones that I can collaborate with. I enjoy when I can be a guide for couples on the crazy wedding train.

Do you travel for clients? If so, where?

Yes, I am willing to travel anywhere in the Pacific Northwest.

What are your favorite activities to do in The Rockies?

My husband and I love to adventure - especially with our dogs. We love when we get the opportunity to hike, rock climb or kayak.
