Emerald Lake Lodge

It's difficult to lay eyes on this place without falling head-over-heels in love with it. With the idyllic scenery (have you ever seen water that beautiful?) to the rustic charm, the Emerald Lake Lodge is truly heaven on earth. The lodge offers a variety of accommodations, including some pet-friendly options. But, for the best romantic experience, choose the Point Cabin. The exclusive cabin includes a wrap-around porch with an incredible view of the famed pristine lake, and the plush king bed, whirlpool bath, and wood-burning fireplace will make it difficult to step out of the house. Enjoy relaxing, but make sure to also take advantage of the incredible hiking, biking, and canoeing in the area. You're in the Rockies, after all.

Assiniboine Lodge

The adventurers at heart are sure to love the thrill of the remote Assiniboine Lodge. Built in 1928, the lodge is the oldest ski lodge in the Canadian Rockies. Even though it has recently undergone renovations, none of the historical charm has been lost (indeed, the lodge has been owned and operated by only two families since opening). The lodge houses up to 30 guests in seven private cabins and five lodge rooms, and includes a sauna, gourmet meals, plush bedding, and guided ski and hiking tours. As a bonus, getting there is half of the fun! This paradise is 28 kilometers removed from the nearest road, and is only accessible by hiking, skiing, or helicopter.
