“Grace and Johan met in August 2019 in San Francisco, California – where the bride is originally from and the groom has resided for the last 10 years. She is a 4th generation Californian who returned west after years on the east coast working in Finance & Tech, and he is a midwesterner who came to California to row for the Men’s National team, now working in real estate. Grace and Johan’s first date went three hours long – she asked tough questions, they both teased each other, things sparked, though she turned down his request for a second date in Sonoma because she was busy. Twenty-two months later he proposed in Jackson, Wyoming. They spent a week at a dude ranch with her family before they set out for a day hike near the Tetons; they hiked Death Canyon and ventured to Phelps Lake to go cliff jumping on the hot June day. They jumped in together and after an exhilarating fall into 35 degree water, they raced onto shore. Johan grabbed his phone for a picture on the cliff, where in reality he was grabbing the ring. The cliff was full of boy scouts, so Johan raised his hand calling for everyone’s attention – and spun around getting down on one knee to propose to Grace. Just over a year later, they married at the Jackson Golf and Tennis Club in front of the Tetons. Their beloved friends and family celebrated with them on the most gorgeous fall day, full of the most moving speeches, an epic dance party, and a barrage of vuvuzelas sending them off before a Million Dollar Cowboy after party. They are expecting their first child this July!”
