Wintery Bliss Engagements in Saratoga Springs

“I knew early on I wanted to be with Jax for the long run. He was the first guy that had all the things I was really looking for. I had never dated ‘my type’ until he came along. I’m 27 now, so I’ve dated a fair amount and felt like I waited forever for him! I had accepted the fact it might not happen for me. People would tell me to be less picky. The wait for the right one to come along is in fact so worth it. From the beginning with Jax, things clicked and we started dating not long after. We had been dating for almost a year and started talking about getting married here and there but all in light conversation. I always left the conversations a little disappointed, wanting more definitive answers and a structured timeline of a proposal or wedding. I visited my mom who lives out of state as she was recovering from surgery and broke down to her. I thought Jax wasn’t as committed as I was or shared the same dreams of getting married. We were going to be in Paris with his family a week later and there was no chance it was happening anytime soon. Almost a week later, in Paris with the Eiffel Tower behind us, Jax proposed on our one year anniversary. I’ll never forget the feeling I had when I saw him get down on one knee. I’ve never been more shocked and happy in my life. We get married mid May and it still feels like a dream. I can’t wait to marry my best friend.”
