After a few years and several casual conversations, we finally went on a date that left us feeling excited about the potential for something more. Our connection was undeniable. A few days later, I made a last minute decision to watch him at a rodeo close to home. He now claims that he knew right then and there that I was the one he wanted to spend his life with, and even though his best friend teased him about it, he never lost faith in us or in his feelings.
