“Chris and Kate met through mutual friends in May of 2017. The first night they met, they jokingly discussed getting married, and referred to each other as ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ throughout the evening. Five years later, on July 30, 2022, they made the whole ‘husband and wife’ thing official with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Garden of the Gods Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by their family and friends. A big focus for Chris and Kate was including special details unique to the couple throughout their wedding. From Chris starting the day with hand-crafted Jolly Rancher roses – an inside joke because Kate doesn’t like flowers – to Kate walking down the aisle to her parents’ wedding song, a rare whiskey bar, wedding cake toppers resembling the couple’s pets, and an interpretive dance by the couple to their favorite rap song, Kate and Chris’ personalities were evident in even the smallest details.”
