Three Pups and a Love Story in the Arizona Sun

August 16, 2025 BY: Amy

“When we started planning a trip to Jamaica with my family, I casually mentioned how fun it would be to get some professional family photos on the beach. What I didn’t know was that my fiancé had secretly turned that idea into a surprise proposal, working behind the scenes with the photographer to plan it all. He went through so much to keep it a secret – hiding the ring, nearly getting caught, and coordinating everything without me catching on. On the day of the shoot, just as the sun was setting and the ocean breeze picked up, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was absolutely perfect. My grandma, my favorite person, had no idea it was coming either. When Chandler knelt down, she thought he had tripped and rushed over to help him up. It was such a sweet and unforgettable moment. The wildest part? Two days later, Hurricane Beryl hit and left the island without power, water, or cell service. After that beautiful chaos, I knew I wanted more photos to capture this season of life. We reached out to Steph for engagement photos back home and told her we wanted something that felt natural and true to us – golden hour in the desert with our three huskies. She completely brought the vision to life, and now we have these dreamy, windswept images that feel like us: warm, wild, and full of love.”
