“I will remember and cherish this day for the rest of my life. When we told friends and family what our plans for marriage were, some were bummed they weren’t invited, some said ‘that’s what I wish I would’ve done’, and some were confused why we wouldn’t want everybody we knew there. Well, after that week in June, I would highly encourage everybody to do exactly what THEY want to do for such a special day and to keep everybody else’s feelings and opinions out of it. After all, that’s what getting married is about, right?! I always knew I didn’t want a huge wedding because if you know me, you know I HATE planning. If you know me you also know I love an adventure. Six years ago I found somebody that matched my love for adventure and nature, so much so that I followed him to Colorado five months after officially dating. Being in the mountains with Connor was something I had never experienced before, and I fell even more in love with the both of them than I could’ve ever imagined. Six months after Colorado, I got to visit Connor in the Tetons were he lived for a few months and that place held the most special place in our hearts. It just made sense to exchange vows in front of what we consider the most magical place on earth (sorry, Disney). Last June, 18 of our family members and friends traveled over 2000 miles to share this experience with us and we couldn’t be more grateful to them. We stayed at a tiny cabin resort in the Teton Village and made the most of our time in Wyoming. We hiked, drove to the best views in the park, and shared many laughs by the campfire. On June 14th, we said ‘I Do’ at a stunning turnout in Grand Teton National Park. I tripped many times walking down the ‘aisle’ through the sagebrush but it could not have been more perfect. Connor and I exchanged vows in a quiet spot in the woods and shared our first dance to ‘You & Me’ by Dave Matthews alone in our cabin. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
