Springtime Utah Meadow Engagement Session

June 20, 2026 BY: Amy

“It was overcast in Malibu after a gorgeous week of sunshine. Pat suggested to Jenna that they go for a hike to work off some calories from an early Thanksgiving celebration with visiting family. When they set off into the Santa Monica Mountains, they felt some raindrops, which turned out to be the perfect cover for the sweat that started to accumulate when he thought, ‘What if this plan blows up in my face?’ As they climbed, the rain and the lactic acid cleared, and they made it to the spot where Pat imagined he’d pop the question, only to find a group of people. He suggested they hang for a bit, but it was cold on the top of that mountain, and Jenna wanted to go home. In a panic, Pat switched to plan B and began hunting for private spots with a view to get down on one knee. Jenna noticed he was always walking 20 feet ahead of her and said, ‘Why won’t you walk with me?’ Finally, he found it, a little lookout with no one around where you could see the coastline all the way from Malibu to Palos Verdes. Pat acted like they were stopping for water, and just as Jenna said ‘I have to pee,’ she turned around to Pat on one knee, telling her how happy she makes him and asking her to spend her life with him. The cold, the rain, the lactic acid disappeared, and the two hiked down the mountain hand in hand, tears flowing and adrenaline rushing.”
